Save Jane

Save Jane began in Dallas Texas as an effort to bring awareness to the devastating statistics of child abuse. This year in Cherokee County we hosted our first annual "Save Jane" event.  At this event advocates read the names and ages of  275 children who were victims of child abuse in Cherokee County last year. Due to the fact that these children are minors, their identities must be protected. “Jane” or “John” Doe was read in place of their names.

Summer Safety Series

The school year is coming to an end. We’re striving for the right balance between supervision and freedom, entertainment and healthy boredom. There are likely to be a variety of activities and people our children will be involved with, which means we need to remain vigilant and keep open communication about body safety.
